Fundraising
activities annually contribute £500,000 to the unit, in support
of the junior doctors, clinical staff, the Day Centre and counselling
service, plus much of the equipment required by the unit.
Christmas Bells
and Sunflower Appeals - Thanks to the help of our volunteers
we deliver Sunflowers and Christmas Bells to the many shops, pubs,
clubs and schools who regularly support us.
Charity Shops
- We have two charity shops situated in Green Lane, Northwood and
High Street, Ruislip. Our enthusiastic volunteers keep the shops
looking bright and cheerful and extend a warm welcome to our customers.
Annual Sponsored
Walk - Each September our Annual Sponsored Walk takes us
through the beautiful local countryside. This is our major event
of the year and is an opportunity to meet old friends.
MSH Bridge Club
-The Club was formed in
1992 for the purpose of raising funds in support of, and promoting
awareness of, Michael Sobell House and is now one of the largest
clubs in the country. They regularly meet to play social and competitive
bridge, as well as organizing beginners and improvers courses. If
you are interested in joining, their website address is www.sobell-bridge-club.fsnet.co.uk.
