 Burston Garden Centre, St Albans celebrated their 30th Anniversary by holding a weekend of festivities on 14th & 15th June 2008, the draw took place Sunday 29th June.
The attractions included circus entertainers, a BBQ, brass band, wine tasting, an appearance by Chris Beardshaw and a superb raffle in aid of Michael Sobell House.
Burston’s started their fundraising a year ago by kindly agreeing to accept donations from customers in return for their free gift wrapping service. The raffle prizes were all donated by the suppliers of Burston’s and included a teak bench, a teak planter set, RSPB membership, hampers, community shield football tickets, golf prizes, Garden Centre vouchers and limited edition art.
 An amazing £2220.00 was raised in total for the hospice and we are extremely grateful to Burston Garden Centre and their customers for raising funds which will be used to provide support and care to patients and their families.
