Lynne Ahmad and Anna Jackson of the Harrow UNISON Local Government Branch, (pictured with Geraint Hughes, The Friends of MSH), came to see us last week to present a cheque to MSH for £200.
Lynne writes, “The Harrow Branch is part of the Greater London Region of the national organisation which has over 1.3 million members. The membership raised funds for Michael Sobell House by means of a raffle at our Christmas party. The Branch has recently been campaigning for the safe removal of asbestos from buildings in the borough and raising awareness of the terrible disease that can result from exposure to that substance. Unfortunately one of our lay branch officers has been diagnosed with asbestosis so this issue is even closer to our hearts.”
Harrow UNISON Branch hopes to support Michael Sobell House again in the future.
