We are delighted to acknowledge the generous support
of the North Star Public House, Thorney Mill Road, Iver
which has chosen Michael Sobell House as its main Charity
of the Year for 2006. Several of the North Star’s
regular customers have had family and friends with personal
experience of care at MSH making difficult times easier
to bear.
Future events being held at the North Star include:-
Sunday 23rd April 2006 St Georges Day Dinner Dance
There will be guest speakers to entertain diners. The
event will take place between 1.30pm and 6pm. The event
is already a sell-out
A raffle, auction and other fundraising activities will
take place.
Monday 1st May 2006 Five-a-side football tournament
The North Star’s annual Five-a-side football
tournament in the gardens of the pub will take place
on Monday 1st May. Around 10 teams are expected to take
part.
There will be a raffle and in addition the pub will
make a donation to Michael Sobell House of 10p for every
pint of beer sold!
Monday 29th May 2006 Family day
The North Star will be holding a Family Day on Monday
29th May 2006 with lots of fun activities including
bouncy castles, face painting and children’s games.
Through the day around 500 people are expected to attend.
