The Feel Good Look Good Day has now become an eagerly awaited annual event for Michael Sobell House and this year was held slightly earlier than in previous years, taking place on 1st March 2009.

As this event is focused entirely on providing complementary therapy treatments, sessions available included; aromatherapy, massage, reflexology and reiki.
Additional therapies including, Indian head massage, the Body Talk System and Emotional Freedom Technique treatments were also available.  Benefits from these sessions included the promotion of relaxation, relief from muscular aches and pains, reduction of stress and increased feelings of well-being (to name but a few!).
Beauty therapy treatments have also become a popular feature and facial treatments, manicures and pedicures were available throughout the day.
All sessions were advertised, booked and paid for in advance and enjoyed by members of the public, staff, relatives and friends of Michael Sobell House.

This year saw the introduction of Taster sessions which were 15 minute sessions with no previous booking necessary. These proved extremely popular and included sports massage, neck and shoulder and Indian head massage, emotional freedom techniques, reiki and body talk treatments.

An amazing total of 81 sessions were given by 23 fully qualified and experienced therapists who voluntarily provided these professional treatments and advice on the day.  My thanks go to these therapists and to the team of 9 additional helpers and supporters who also willingly gave their time by manning the check-in desk, setting up equipment, serving refreshments and greeting and showing clients to treatment waiting areas.
