Staff and volunteers joined the collectors and fans of everything auto at The Uxbridge Autoshow on Sunday 19th July. The event held at Middlesex Showground is organized by the Rotary Club of Uxbridge with the aim to raise funds for charity at a show where enthusiasts and their families can display their veteran, vintage and club vehicles. In addition to the hundreds of cars on display, the main arena presented an array of breathtaking performances led by ‘The Backdraft’ Wheelie Fire Truck; standing at over 16 feet tall, weighing in at 20 tonnes with flashing blue lights, sirens and breathing fire.
Michael Sobell House had a stand in the charity tent where the balloons and new Hospice Lottery Chance Cards proved popular. After an ‘exhausting’ day we raised £465 which will be matched by sponsors Barclays to make the grand total of £930.00.
